The Humble Hollyhock

This is a collograph, mounted against Asian paper on a cradleboard.

The hollyhock is a glorious plant. It is stately and there are so many varieties of colors. It survives in hot, dry weather. It is miraculous. I wanted to pay tribute to these plants that survive harsh conditions and shine.
