This piece is about viewing the garden at midnight, by the light of the moon. It evokes whimsy and a sense of the fay. My work has an ethereal element as I work on the interplay of shapes, texture, and color.
This is a collograph. It is created by inking two plates different colors of ink, creating a composition on one plate, and sandwiching the plates together. The plates are run through a flat bed press. The plates are separated, and the plants are removed. Then damp BFK Reves paper is laid onto the plates and run through the press. The ink on each plate has a different effect. using this method allows for two 1st prints and two ghosts. A second drop is called a ghost.
